After a fair bit of repair and prep work to get the rally car ready for the forthcoming Bovington Stages this weekend, we found out on Monday that sadly the event is now cancelled.
This is quite disappointing as it has been quite a while since we have both done an event, and since it was a stage rally running into the night (rare these days) I was looking forward to the challenge of pushing on into the dark. Coming from a road rally background the night stages were hopefully going to be an area where we could have pulled back some time from the others, instead Saturday night will be at home watching the F1 Qualifying 😦
So the focus now switches to possibly one of the last events of the year, an Autosolo at Debden at the beginning of November.
More regular readers of this blog may have spotted a lack of updates or posts about prep work for Wales Rally GB, which we have done for the last couple of years. Well this year we will be there, just not in a rally car. We will be part of the organising team, which should give a different perspective of the event.
Here is the rally car all set ready to go with her new lights, which worked great during PET last weekend.
